Appeal

An appeal is a formal request for something that is urgently required or wanted. An example of an appeal is a plea for funds to a charity. The word “appeal” means “pleasant or fascinating.”
An appeal is a procedure in which two or more parties ask for a reversal of a decision.

Appeals serve as both a means of correcting mistakes and of clarifying and interpreting the law.

Reasons for appeal:

• To elicit a sympathetic response to a notion that he finds appealing.
