    Labour welfare fund employee contribution: In 2007-08, amended the act to provide a levy of a donation from employees towards the labor welfare fund. The Labour Welfare Fund is a corpus fund created by the employer to offer amenities and facilities recognized under the Workmen’s Compensation Act, 1933 and for other purposes specified by the Central Government in consultation with the State Government. Shall collect the contribution from the employees from every person whose salary is paid from the funds of such establishment and shall be in a prescribed percentage not exceeding one percent of wages of each employee
