Mass Separation Notice

A mass separation notice is a notification that states the company’s intent to separate many employees. Must provide these notices to each employee affected and also published in newspapers, if there are any. Separation can affect hourly and salaried employees. Mass separation is issued when companies are in financial distress or wish to downsize for other reasons (such as poor performance, restructuring, cost-savings, etc.).
